A 12-site Bioprint assessment is a body composition measurement taken with skinfold callipers at twelve fixed anatomical landmarks — chin, cheek, pec, tricep, subscapular, mid-axillary, suprailiac, umbilical, knee, calf, quad and hamstring. From those readings you get body fat percentage, lean mass, and — more useful than either — the distribution: where your body stores fat, which is the starting point for deciding what to change. At The Wellness Black Card the assessment takes 60 minutes at Solo 60, Brewery Square, SE1, minutes from London Bridge, and is complimentary.

Why twelve sites instead of one number?

A bathroom scale gives you total mass. A single-site pinch or a bioimpedance reading gives you an estimate of total fat. Neither tells you where it sits — and two people with identical body-fat percentages can carry completely different patterns. One holds it at the midsection, another across the upper back and chin. The twelve-site map is what makes the difference visible, and the difference is what directs the intervention.

What does the pattern mean?

The Bioprint method — developed from the earlier BioSignature work — reads site combinations as patterns with hormonal correlates: elevated umbilical and suprailiac readings pattern with chronic stress and disrupted sleep, elevated subscapular and chin readings with carbohydrate response. In this practice those present as three recurring executive profiles: the Stress Accumulator, the Insulin Responder and the Hormonal Plateau, described in detail on the programme page.

An honest caveat belongs here: the hormonal mapping is a working model, not settled science, and you should be suspicious of anyone selling it as a blood panel substitute. What the method delivers beyond argument is standardised, repeatable measurement at twelve sites on a fixed cadence — a data spine most training programmes do not have. The pattern tells us where to look first; the retest tells us whether we were right.

What happens in the 60 minutes?

  • Context first — your work, schedule, training history and goal, so the numbers land somewhere useful
  • The 12-site calliper measurement, plus weight, waist and hip
  • A walkthrough of your readings: what each site shows and which pattern is emerging
  • The Executive Body Composition Report, yours to keep — benchmarks, pattern, and the priority order for intervention

There is no obligation on the other side of it. Some people take the report to their existing coach; the baseline is valuable wherever you train. If the fit is right, the next conversation is about the programme — and the assessment repeats every six to eight weeks inside it, which is where the method earns its keep: not the snapshot, the trend.

Common Questions

Asked Directly

Callipers in trained hands are highly repeatable, and repeatability is what matters for tracking change. The absolute body-fat percentage any method produces — callipers, bioimpedance scales, even DEXA — carries error; the value is in measuring the same sites, the same way, on a cadence, so the trend is real even if any single number has a margin.

No. A calliper pinch is momentary and painless. Wear comfortable training clothes — the twelve sites include the torso and legs, so clothing you can adjust makes the session quicker. The full assessment, walkthrough and report fit inside 60 minutes.

The Executive Body Composition Report: your body fat percentage, lean mass index, FFMI, waist-to-hip ratio, the site-by-site readings, your pattern identification and age- and sex-adjusted benchmarks. It is yours to keep whether or not you go on to work with us — take it to any coach.

Every six to eight weeks inside the programme. That window is long enough for training and nutrition changes to show up in the sites, and short enough to correct course before months are lost to an intervention that is not working.
